Nguyen Hai Nam
Painter (Vietnam)
Born and raised in Hanoi, Nguyễn Hải Nam graduated from Hanoi University of Applied Arts (Trường Đại học Mỹ thuật Công nghiệp) and started to work in fashion branding & visual management alongside with creating paintings as a freelance artist on a regular basis.
Ubiquitously present in his paintings is the recurring portrait of beautiful lotus (the national flower of Vietnam) harmoniously blended with splashes and drips of colours in the dreamiest juxtaposition of abstract and impressionist style. Some of his recent works, however, shows some deviation from impressionism and leaning more towards abstract art, although blossoming flowers remain his major source of inspiration.
